International Lighthouse Weekend - 21st/22nd August 2010
Celebrating lighthouses & the people that worked in them
All Day Saturday and Sunday, 9am-5pm (plus late night Saturday)
- Special late night opening on Saturday until 9:30pm - tour the Lightstation grounds after dark
- Telegraph Station (1859) - send telegrams to friends and family around the world courtesy of the Morse Codian Fraternity and Telstra Countrywide
- Self Guided Tours - entire Lightstation grounds including Telegraph Station, World War Two Radar Bunker, cemetery & climb to the top of the 1848 lighthouse
- Radio Operators - contacting lighthouses all over the world
- Victorian Colonial Infantry Association - visit their 1850s military camp
- Characters of the Cape - appearing all weekend, presenting an early history of Cape Otway, giving you a glimpse into the lives of some Australian pioneers
- KIDZONE @ The Cape - activity packs, face painting, story times & craft corner
- Chance to win a Telstra phone - by texting a friend faster than the Morse Code Operators in the Telegraph Station
- Enter a competition to win accommodation at the Lightstation - by decoding the signal flags at the Telegraph Station
- Whale Watching - whales are often seen off Cape Otway at this time of year
- Ghost Tours - come on a Ghost Tour & find out about all our spooky happenings
- Spot Willie the Whale - giving away cool stuff
- Food - available in the Café (all day) & at the Head Lightkeeper's House (12-4pm)

- Regular entrance fees apply for International Lighthouse Weekend, but if you buy a ticket on Saturday, you can return on Sunday for free
- Ghost Tour & Weekend Pass: $40 (2 adult), $10 (child), $50 (family)
